Scrunchie making has progressed well this evening post Brownies. I have done all the machining and cutting, just the last few to turn right way round and tie elastic through the middle .. just the finishing off by hand. But dadah I have my partner in crime (codename: Kestrel) doing some of these when I drop them off tomorrow night as her hubbie is out Thursday night so she's got a night planned infront of the TV.
Having just read the rounds of blogs I have to say that Mad caused me to chuckle with regards to my incentive to get home these days... the incentive was also looking over my shoulder at the time as I'm using his laptop (so I don't have to unpack mine).
The incentive for those who've had their heads in the sand of late, is of course Dr T. Life with the Dr is still in novelty phase as its only been 9 full days so far.. but progressing well. He put the rubbish and recycling bin out last night, has done washing up although the laundary bin has only been emptied by me when he first moved in. One of my work collegues on my commentage of these observations made the comment 'doesn't it empty itself', to which I said it was the washing faries (aka his wife).
On other car related matters I have recently completed the survey on problems encountered in my first year of Skoda ownership (the bullet celebrates it's first birthday at the end of October). The ownership has been fine with no major problems, just a coupleof bits that niggle sometimes. However my friends who own a rather problematic 18 month old 307 I suspect did not receive anything like this (as far as I know the car so far has been in for engine management system x2, cracked leaking raditor along with other more minor problems). I feel this says a lot for Skoda ... and makes me rather relieved I didn't go for the 307 (which was in the running and ended 2nd for my new car).
