I’ve handed over my feasibility study and estimate for a cycle route over to the team leader for proof reading & checking before it goes to the client… which leaves me with little to do but twiddle my thumbs. I’m twiddling my thumbs due to the fact I’m STILL waiting for paperwork to come back/ spending to be authorised. Added to this the fact that too many people wish to ignore me until they want to have a go at someone (or in one case when I’d spent an extra 2 days covering for them at short notice … not say thanks and only response was to have a go due to THEIR lack of communication!). Suffice to say by the end of yesterday when I came home from work I was in need of a big Dr T hug (and these days, that’s what I got). Dr T mind you thought it was to do with the hormones (he claims I go mushy at TOTM).

This morning one of my fellow quad dwellers (except for the fact that we are actually a three) handed me a list of 50 things that can improve life for others … he’s apparently heard it on Radio 4 on the way into work (more info from readers on the website welcome). They were simple things, which don’t take that much effort but added up make a difference. This lead me think about our recent Brownie day on Saturday and the fact that none of them said ‘Thank you’ as they got off the coach … I know one of our Brownies still isn’t convinced we don’t get paid (she wasn’t on the coach) despite us telling her that we don’t quite a few time, she just can’t comprehend adults doing things for others.

At least tomorrow we get to wear casual as it’s Jeans for Genes day … it’s all rather like non-school uniform days of my youth!

The weekend isn’t quite as busy as the last one. Camera buying; banking stuff; trying to buy a skirt (trauma for me, boredom for Tom), so I can be a bit more feminine at work (blame "What not to wear?" for that). Sunday is Church Parade (complete with scary vicar) followed by a quick dash over to the Forest for lunch and rest of the walk with Solent SAGGA (and a few SSAGO hangers on).

Hmm will finish off the site diary for yesterday before tidying my desk … hmm what shall I do tomorrow?
