Fenderqueen has returned from Hols!

I had a very enjoyable time up norf with the good Dr so refreshed the batteries.
Amongst the things I did whilst on my holidays were...
1) Drive a full circuit of Lake Windermere (in the name of walking, NT & Ambleside where I ended up buying some shirts for work (so I can be smart without ironing!))
2) Finally walk up Cat Bells (near Keswick) after New Year's failed attempt due to ice sheet on road.
3)Drink more than normal without ever getting drunk (so not major drinking, just every night)
4)See lots of castles and other cultural places (due partly to a rainy day preventing our planned ascent of Hellveyn).
5) Get sunburnt on the first day (Bright Lobster and warming to hands for days! ... but the skin is sorted... if peeling!)
6) My car clicking over to 10,000miles (in less than 8 months!) just north of Dunmail Rise near Hellveyn on the return trip from Cat Bells & Keswick).

Then upon our return to Lufbra I visted the newest SAGGA member, I wasn't as freaked out in holding him as I was with Dr T's niece! Dr T in his avoidance cluckiness didn't coo over the new member ... I resisted but now I'm home I think I've had a delayed clucky zone. Alas I have joined the fan club too!

I've done my food shopping (and have cooked a lovely curry featuring real meat & veg, remember I was on a Student camp diet last week). After which I popped into the Guide Depot to pick up a selection of Andy Pandies & other old uniform to send out with my old Guide County's service project to Kenya. Just gotta post it (courtesy of the Trefoil Guild in my old stomping ground). One load of washing done, just about to be hung up whilst the next one goes through...

.. and tomorrow I have a day of leave so the car can have its 1st ever service and I can sort out servicing myself (haircut, making doctor & dentist appointments, probably unpacking bits in the flat).
