Well we've returned from WAW (Walk Around the World) in one piece, Dr T having survived the day being surrounded by Older Brownies & Guides .. and the odd fat bottomed Guider and tea making Trefoil Guilder.

The pop bottle rockets were enjoyed by all who made and launched them, quite a few Guiders were interested in the launcher as they want to spread the fun of the rockets. Quite a few staff came out to watch us launch them and were suitable impressed with the height being gained (mostly 3/4 up a 2 storey Napoleanic fort, a couple at parapet level and one managed to get a tad higher than that!)

I think I've caught part of the top of my foot in the sun, but hopefully it won't be sore in walking boots. I think a good day was had by all, the gaggle from my Brownies who went certainly enjoyed themselves, our rather inactive chubby brownie enjoyed the Assault course the most, mainly because she thought she wouldn't be able to do some of the bits but managed it with some help and encouragement (and was really chuffed she had!) ... they also made rockets with me as well a climbing, craft and African drumming. They enjoyed themselves so much they asked Kestrel (my partner in crime) that they could talk about it on Tuesday, she's given them a 10min limit! Mind you sometime in the proceedings they will mention that a bird decided to poo on Kestrel's sleeve whilst they were making rockets! We had groups of 10 at most so it wasn't really stressful at all and all the kids that headed my way were all sensible about things so didn't cause any probs.

I'm going to log off, finish packing, load the car eat some food before heading a little north to spend the night with Dr T's Bro & Co on the way up to my week of camping in the Lakes for my Hols ... and the weather is forecast for sun .. excellent, my skin will hopefully clear up a bit then before the ICE South Ball on the 24th (yep, Caz in a dress!)
