Been a busy bee this afternoon and got lots of things up to date here on site… aided by the fact I have my earphones so can play my CD of fav tunes on the laptop and can listen to it while blocking out ferry/ site noise. Hmm made me think of the variety of music on this CD I made up of fav tunes from my music collection. I find myself going back to fav tunes from years ago and still love them as much as did when I first listened to them. Of the tunes I’ve just listened to two tunes/ albums spring to mind… God Shuffled his Feetby the crash test dummies which I have the title song on the CD and often repeat the song, I heard it in Wilko the other day so lingered a bit longer in my search for long sharp scissors for cutting material with. The other album is Leftfield ‘Leftism’ this is an album I wouldn’t have bought normally, thinking it wasn’t my sort of thing but I got immersed in it while doing an all nighter with my structural design project group to do our model and presentation near the end of my 3rd year. I don’t why but I always seem to find myself cleaning the flat to it? Along with the Trainspotting OST (which I also bought after … but Mile End Rd is my fav on that one) and an other CD we had them rotation all night! Leftism is one of those albums you keep finding yourself going back to …
Oh and now as I type I have Enya (‘Wild Child’) on … a recent (well maybe not that recent now) rediscovery. My teenage years are filled with ‘Watermark’ coming from my sister’s room but now the music is mainly played in the Dr T’s room (mainly ‘cos I seem to find myself picking her albums out of his CD collection).
