Girlie Weekend is over for another year ... and very enjoyable it was too!
The Formule 1 was basic, cheap and very 80s! What made us giggle the most was the self cleaning loos and showers ... all very japanese style we felt!
The Bullring was not the place to be on Saturday ... it was very busy! It only has 1 escalator each way in the Debenhams side .. we feel this is a design fault, so used the stairs lots! We did some xmas shopping and us shopping, me being more succesful on the xmas shopping front. We found the Brum Guide Depot after poor navigation by me (I realised on the way back home that its probably because I'm always the one driving!). Having perused (without having every movement monitored as in my local depot) we came to the conclusion that Oliva (the new Rainbow macot) just looks evil ... particularly in her resin figurine which looks rather 'Chuckie' like .... We giggled over this tried to work out what the 'leaving' certificate for Brownies was over a cup of coffee made by the Trefoil Guild, before hitting the shops.
Another late night, another bottle of NZ wine saw us watching the first 50 films in the top 100 on Channel 4 (so another late night).
Today somewhat tired we headed to Cadbury World (after stopping off for breakfast and coffee at the McDs at the other side of the Ibis from us) and spent the day in Choclate heaven. We were also surrounded by too many Rainbows (from Staffordshire, two coaches worth!!!). By the end of the day we were still glad we didn't do Rainbows (we even saw the personification of Evil Olivia we felt around lunchtime, although with blonde hair!). We were not sure whether Northern Guider and I showed outward signs of being Guiders whilst dressed in civvies.
A good weekend with all the things that makes a girl happy ... wine, chocolate and shopping! ... but where will be the location of the next Girlie weekend?
