The weekend is over so I can relax! Saturday a.m. saw a morning out of the flat starting early with the opening of the joint account! Once this was over we headed off the island to Novatech and made a joint purchase of a laser printer for both Uni and SAGGA/ Guiding bits what don’t need colour (thereby saving my poor little colour cartridges that don’t seem to last long).
Home for 10 mins (so good job I had a decent breakfast) before heading back into town and the hothouse that is Vicky Baths for the County Swimming Gala. We didn’t have any club swimmers in our team so unsurprisingly didn’t win overall (but were near the top of the general masses with the 3 divisions having a lot of club swimmers occupying the top spots). We did however win the ‘fun race’ and a shield … but after some teams were disqualified (which begs the question how can you get disqualified from a ‘fun race’?). But we didn’t complain too much!

Sunday was a bit of lie in before a rendezvous at Big Yellow Storage to empty the unit back into our church hall cupboards. After proving to the (nice) churchwarden that the Guide unit stuff + our (small amount compared to Guides) stuff into 1 cupboard (2/3 size of the cupboards we previously had each) won't go ... there was a cupboard free (user unknown and unassigned) so the churchwarden said we could have it until the scary vicar returns from travels afar at the end of term. Possession is 9/10th of the law (however being prepared Guidey types we’re looking into alternative storage solutions (if only for the bits being stored by our YLs summer use only room)).

Fortunately I didn’t have to cook dinner as Dr T’s mum invited us round for dinner just before I left so we have a roast courtesy of her (and saw their recent holiday pics of an area of the states my parents have also been too …). Aren’t mummys nice when they cook roast dinners? (next one due first weekend of November courtesy of my mum).
