Having wandered over to Pinkyland it was nice to see that things seem to be looking up in that part of the world with new things on the horizon.

New things have started around here as Dr T commenced his MSc yesterday with a course on Research Methods, which unsurprisingly he didn’t learn much on having spent the past few years doing research…part 2 is today. He did however get the list of options available for him to choose from and I think he’s decided on his options for this semester. There were some Civ Eng ones featuring some of my old lecturers but it looks as if Dr T isn’t going to do them this semester although in the car on the way in this morning he did comment on the possibilities of traffic being similar to his dry materials mixing … so can he add another branch of engineering to his string? He has got a star next to another engineering related one (but not provided by the engineers) which is Coastal Processes and Protection (which is a fine choice SOC are doing research on this using GIS). Today however he officially becomes a Uni of Portmouth Student as he is registering this morning (hopefully done by now) next stop NUS card for all those discounts!
