Super Southern Sunny Weekend

Hmm this weekend was good for the weather in the south. Saturday and Sunday were warm and sunny, finished with a magnificent thunderstorm at 9pm last night (and I was glad I wasn't out in the monsoon like rain).

The weekend started well on Friday with an invite to marvel at a garden, be social and for Dr T to BBQ for the second weekend running! For we went to the home of the soon to be wed TWMII & AAA, much chatting, some planning ideas (for Solent SAGGA/ Soton Old Gits events). Along with some wedding chat ... they seem to be sorted and the 'Foxlease Cheapskate Accomodation' is going well (I'm getting the food for a recovery brekkie and sorting out key pick up etc.) as they've got the reception in Lyndhurst .. so might as well use a Foxlease PH House!

I also got some new walking boots at the marvel that is Peglers in Arundel, it was really nice to have personal service that you felt cared. For the first time in years I had my feet measured! All so I got the best pair of boots for me (and my wide feet). They fit really lovely, not a tight spot, just snug for my feet. I can't wait to try them out on a walk! We also stopped by Chichester on the way back for a Lakeland fix & pick up some O'hagans sausages in the market hall (also home to the daily WI Market!) for the BBQ... Venison, Wild Boar & Calvados and Duck & Cognac. Venison wasn't too good on the BBQ (but was that the 80-90% meat content?) as they burst badly (hmm the BBQ was a bit too hot). Yummy all round; we have Real Ale & Chorizo to try another day (in the freezer).
