Mud, Mud Glorious Mud .... or rather more accurately mainly silt ... I had the commercial divers I've been supervising on other works putting a handful of the harbour in a sort of freezer bag in 6 different locations to make CEFAS happy for us to dump it when we dredge. Mind you we shouldn't have to do this anyway as the locations have been tested within the last 3 years. The mud is spending the weekend in the salad drawer of the section fridge (complete with post-it to warn the milk users!) before posting on Tuesday as it has to be kept near freezing (ie fridge) for as long as poss. See the exciting things I get to do for my job ... post expensive mud! (we had a previous set of samples get lost in the post depite being recorded delivery and Royal Mail didn't like it when we informed them that it cost £500! (as that's what we'd pay for a replacement set)).
Today had been a rather rainy day :( so hopefully it gets better for Sunday & Monday when I'll be out and about more. At least when I return on Tuesday I'll have considerably more collegues present! (and its also payday :))
Shall stop now as it'll have to go and collect Dr T from the train station (for the last time as long distance lovers) for a weekend together involving the meeting of parental groups (with absolutely no annoucements planned in the near future!!!!!). More news later ....
