Hmm I think I should be worried... All of last week I spent looking at large amounts of concrete (300m3 in total) as we did the new apron for the Round Tower. This week however I didn't go to site on Monday as it was quiet after last week's rush but managed to turn up yesterday when the concreting was just about to start for some wall foundations. This lead to the QS on site teasing me for loving concrete as he said I always seemed to be around when there was a concrete delivery. I can say now I DO NOT LOVE CONCRETE! I may be an engineer and concrete has it uses (mainly in the ground and covered up) but I do not find it pleasing to the eye or love it! Today however they were not concreting when I was on site so maybe this curse will pass.

On other matters I had a Division meeting where I ended up with the potential risk of having to don a swimsuit in October in the name of Portsmouth South for the 'fun race' which includes a Guider for our County Swimming Gala which is part of the SW Region 'Splash!' badge. I now have to convience a Guider to do this (so I don't have to) .. hmm one of my YLs has just turned 18 and is sporty ... potential target? Mind you it might make me go swimming a bit more which I keep meaning to do.
