Alas I was mis-informed about the Maritime desk so I don't have anywhere to sit upon the end of my secondment (which should have ended in December). This along with other HWI issues means I'm going to have to have a word with my Principal Eng as was (he's now incharge of the whole of Engineering Consultancy) to try and get someone in my place at HWI and let me back into Maritime as I can't take things as they are anymore. This came to a head at 5pm last night when I arrived home from work and meant that I was on the road up north about 1.5hrs later .... as rather desperately in need of hugs. So feeling human once more (Dr T's hugs are priceless {as in the mastercard ad 'People who make you feel warm and fuzzy: priceless'}); but still afraid what Monday might bring as I don't really want to leave PCC Maritime behind but feel as if I'm being forced out of my job because it seems I'm being ignored and forgotton about most of the time, I haven't actually be asked about my secondment since Dec and it seems they are planning to keep me there until June with work but have failed to ask if I'm happy with this (I have however stated the other week to the HWI team leader I want to be back in Maritime although I doubt he's done anything about it). I know I've got to swallow hard and just get the issues out in the open so hopefully it can be resolved internally rather than me having to move jobs to Chichester or Southampton to work with watery stuff once more in the aim to use my brain and skills, and further myself as I want towards chartership (which has gone back at least 6months due to this secondment .. its that bad). So hopefully either I get swopped with one of the Maritime grads, but that means they have to suffer HWI management (one of the big probs) which no doubt after 6 months will have ground them down too or rather better the HWI Team Leader is told a few home truths and made to actually practice what he has learn on management trainings etc. We shall see ... but first I have to find the courage and getthrough my pride to have the word with my prinicpal engineer first .... more news I guess Monday ..... let's hope its of the good variety.

Better find out what Dr T is up to in the lab (I'm currently sat in the laser room so can't see him!) ... then its onto the lack of shopping mecca that is Lufbra town centre (well the market will be one!)
