Another weekend, another Monday. This Monday I’m back at the roundabout after my escape to the Tower for a week… and its rained all morning :( At least what seemed to occupy various bits of my Friday didn’t seem to happen at the weekend on the tower, if it had you’d of heard about it! Hmm we even made national radio news (don’t know the station but it wasn’t BBC 5Live) that we’d finished the concreting! (alright it was the 2355news so Me and Tom probably made up a large proportion of the audience!)

I went over to Kent for the weekend, but the Tom/Canterbury Curse kicked in so the journey took about 4.5 hours instead of 2.5 hours due to the M25 being shut at J6 (so I had a magical mystery tour of Kent to get back onto the bit of road I wanted). Why oh why is it that every time I have gone to spend a weekend with Tom in Kent and said I’d pick him up from the station I get delayed on the M25? I’ve been to Kent on my own and with a friend since I moved back all with no probs …. add Dr T into the equation and you have delays?!?

So I spent the weekend catching up with my olds who I’d not seen since well before NZ and showing them my pics. Went and finished our Dover Castle visit (which had got blown off previously) and saw the competition from the castle (who are also building a new jetty). Then it was into Canterbury to buy a friend’s birthday pressie in my fav shop, Canterbury Pottery, where I also finally bought a mug for myself! Looked around the local Peugeot dealership at 307s … Hmm I’m smitten by the estates (do I really need an estate car? Why am I having a thing for the estates (could it be the lower tailgate for us shorties?)), regardless of which version I’d get I wouldn’t be able to clean the whole of the roof unless I got on my kitchen steps! My sister and her boyf joined us for Sunday lunch before Cider shopping and the train station…. Just another 2 weeks to wait (when I get to drink beer in Derby and avoid Brownie Revels!)

This morning has been quiet so no major stressing. Just an aching shoulder, Dr T’s magic hands are required I feel!

….I’m off in a mo to wander around site to see what they’ve been up to over the last week, if anything!
